Not Going Home From China

PRC is the first stop in my Asia trip. I will also be going to other countries (e.g Nepal, Bhutan, India and Burma and Japan). I will fly home from Japan. Do I need documentation for the stops after PRC?
Is my return ticket from Japan satisfactory?
Some parts of the trip, to include while in PRC, are open (no hotels or transportation arrangements in advance)-- is that a problem?
Thanks/Nick/DC

Nick, you need to provide documentation for the stop after PRC. The return ticket from Japan is not satisfactory. You should provide the onward ticket to the next stop from PRC.
You need to provide your hotel arrangement during your stay in PRC.
