About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

traveling to Shanghai for a trade show

Hello,

I'm traveling next month to a trade show in Shanghai, coming directly from LAX. I will continue from Shanghai to Tokyo. Does the 144 hour visa free transit work for this?

Josh, you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai as long as you can make sure that your layover time there is within 144 hours.
