About:China Private Visit Visa

S1 required documents

Hello,
I have a job offer from a Chinese company. The company has obtained an employment permit and an invitation letter for me. My wife's name is mentioned in the invitation letter and the invitation letter is authorized by the Chinese government.
I would like to know what documents are required for my wife so we can apply for an S1 and a Z visa at the same time from the embassy of China in Tehran, Iran.

Manu, your wife needs to provide those documents:
1. Her passport and copies of all used pages
2. The application form attached with a passport-style photo
3. Copy of the invitation letter from a duly authorized unit
4. Copy of your work permit
5. Marriage certificate
6. An invitation letter from you
Afterwards, along with the application for work Z type, she can submit the application for S type to the embassy of PRC.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have two more questions:
1. Does my marriage certificate need to be translated into English or the original language is okay?
2. Do you mean that although I am still in my own country, I can write an invitation letter for my wife and we can apply for our entry permits together? If the answer is yes, is there a sample of such a letter I can follow?

1. Manu, it may not need to be translated into English, but it need to be attested by the embassy of PRC in your home country.
2. You can write an invitation to her and then apply for the Z type and S type together. You can find the invitation sample at this website.
