About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

AM I eligible for 72 hr transient visa?

I'm a US citizen and I'm leaving for PEK in 5 wks.
Here are my questions.
I'm leaving from LAX to Seoul and
Seoul to PEK. A day later (more than 24 hrs) I have a flight to Maldives from PEK. Am I eligible for 72 hours free transit?
Then coming back, I will be going to Delhi, and from Delhi I'll be going to Bangkok. From Bangkok, I'll be arriving in PEK and will stay in Beijing for more than a day (less than 72 hours). My return flight will be from PEK to Seoul to LAX. Would you be able to help me out if the 72 hour free transit is applicable to my travel plans without any inconvenience when I get to Beijing.
Can you pls answer my questions. TY

Nancy, you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit when you travel like this: Lax-Seoul-PEK-Maldives.
When you return, your travel route will be Bangkok-PEK-Seoul-LAX, and your layover time is less than 72 hours, so you qualify for the free transit in Beijing. There is no need to worry! All the best.
