Just to confirm:

I will not receive a ticket for the flight from HKG to KWL - my travel partner and I only go to the counter and present our passports?

Yes. We will make the bookings properly for you. You just need to show your passport to the airline staff at the designated check-in counter. They will issue the boarding card and luggage tag for you. Thank you.
