Oh, the distance is short. You can take public bus No. Te 13, get off at News Center Bus Stop. Then walk southeast around 400 yards (370 meters) to find the destination.
Or just take a cab from your hotel. It costs around CNY 15 in the day time.1

From the hotel, you can walk north for abuot 50 yards, and turn right. Walk east for about 100 yards to North Shatan Bridge East Station (Bei Sha Tan Qiao Dong). Then, take bus line Te 13 to News Center (Xin Wen Zhong Xin), and you can find the National Convention Center.
For the return trip, you can follow the same route. Don't worry! :)3
