About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

another cruise ship questions

we are going from Nagasaki, Japan to Shanghai, China by cruise ship and then continue on to Okinawa, Japan. Is this itinerary covered by the 144hr visa waiver? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Petra, this itinerary is not covered by the 144 hour free transit because you will go back to Japan after staying in Shanghai. You need to apply for a tourist L type in advance.
