About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Will my luggage go through if i would like to get down in Shanghai just for few hours?

I am arriving at 07:20AM in Pudong International Airport, my next connected China Eastern Airlines flight is at 3PM same day.
I would like to get down for few hours but i don't want to take my luggage. will my luggage go through to the next flight?
What is the procedure for me? Because i need to check out from the airport(no visa required) and then check in again. Thank you.

Will you travel with China Eastern Airlines all the way? If yes, you needn't claim your luggage, and it will delivered to the final destination. If not, you are advised to confirm this issue with the airline companies.

You transfer from International to International, right? Here are the procedures for China Eastern Airlines passengers: Flight Arrival- Confirm onward boarding pass- check in- quarantine- immigration- security check- international concourse- boarding. :)

Hello, This is Olga. Thank you very much for your reply. Yes. it's a code sharing China Eastern Airlines flight Kuala Lumpur - PVG - Saint-Petersburg (Russia). So, i just "leave my luggage thing" to the airlines?! and i can proceed to check out. But then on the check out they will ask where is my luggage... ? i am a bit confused here.

Yes, your luggage will be delivered to the final destination. You needn't claim it at PVG. Upon landing, just proceed to check out. When they ask where your luggage is, you can show them the luggage tag. Don't worry! Have a nice trip! :)
