About:Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan

British citizen requires tourist visa to China

Hello all,
My name is James Taylor, a UK British Citizen traveling abroad.

I will be arriving in Tashkent in about 2-3 weeks time and would like to obtain a visa to the People's Republic of China. It has been a dream of mine to visit this beautiful country and I feel now is the time to do it.

Can you please inform me of what is required so I can arrange my documents before I arrive?

James, you need to provide your passport and copy of its data page, the application form affixed with a passport-style photo, your valid entry permit for Uzbekistan, an invitation letter from a Chinese travel agency, and financial support proof. Afterwards, find a travel agency which registered at the embassy to submit the application for you.

Ok a couple of questions;

If I have an Uzbek visa is that a valid entry permit?

I have hotel reservations and flights, is that sufficient for an invitation?

Is it not possible to present my application in person??

1. Yes, it is.
2. According to the website of the embassy, you should submit your application through an agency and the invitation is required.

Ok sorry to keep labouring the point but I have had contact from a travel agency in Uzbekistan stating that I would be unable to get a visa for China in Tashkent. Now I'm confused?? Can anyone please confirm that I will be able to get one as I am starting to get a little concerned here... :(

Well, I think the best way is to confirm this with the embassy. Please call the consular office. The number is 2334728. Good Luck, dude!
