my son is flying from ord to pek on united airlines,transferring to ckg on air china.

His flight from ORD arrives at 15:15. His connecting flight to CKG on Air China departs at 17:00. He will not have any checked luggage, he is only bringing a carry-on suitcase. Will he have enough time to make his connection? What would be the correct procedure for him to follow, if he has no checked luggage to claim at customs?

Oh, it's international to domestic transfer in T3. Generally speaking, the minimum transfer time is about 120 mins. Thus his time is tight. The correct transfer procedures are Inspection & Quarantine, Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection - Customs Inspection - Going through Transfer Formalities - Security check - Waiting & Boarding.
