Friends vs Lovers?

I have strongs feelings for a friend but will soon be abroad. My birthday is Aug 26,1988 and his is Mar 18, 1983. Pig and Dragon are good friends but what about lovers? I'm not sure if I should let him know my feelings if a romantic relationship is not advisable. What would you advise me to do?
