About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canadian in Taiwan

I'm a Canadian in Taiwan, can I just go to shanghai and back( to and from Taipei)? Or do I need to visit a third country too? As well, my wife is Taiwanese, can she do this too?

Steve, you have to visit a third country or region. Maybe you can go back to Taiwan via Hong Kong ot Macau. As for your wife, she need to apply for a mainland travel permit at the local police.
