24 transit visa for indians

Question

Hello,I am an Indian. I live in Hong Kong. I have a flight from Hong Kong to India and also a return flight, but a 5 hours layover in China at Shanghai. Problem is I have to change the airport at Shanghai. Do I need an entry permit for China as layover is 5 hours and change of airport is there?Please help me.

Hey, you don't need the transit permit and you are allowed to change airports. Upon arrival, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge so that you can leave for another airport.
