Do I need visa to stay in Shanghai for 2 days before a cruise to Japan back to Shanghai stay 1 day?

Do I need visa to stay in Shanghai for 2 days before a cruise to Japan back to Shanghai stay 1 more day?
Los Angeles to Korea then shanghai(pvg) take Cruise to Japan back to Shanghai to Korea then Los Angeles

You are eligible for the 144-hour free transit on both ways, so you don't need to get the visa for Shanghai.
