About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit in Shanghai, do I need any special documents?

If I arrive to Shanghai by cruise ship from a cruise of Japan and Korea and just plan to go to the airport the same day to fly back to Canada do I need any special documents? I originally flew to Tokyo from Canada to pick up the cruise.

Arnold, if you do not stop over Japan or any other mainland Chinese city, you don't need a visa or any special document except your passport and flight ticket.
