how can i book two hard sleeper/ soft sleeper beds in the same compartment?

Hello!I will be travelling around China with my girlfriend and I was wondering how I can make sure that our beds will be in the same compartment? Will the seat/bed number be randomly assigned when I book online or can I choose two adjacend seats when I go to the station to pick them up?thanks!

They are assigned randomly at the time of ticket issuing but usually if still many tickets left, it is still possible to get them together. If you book from the online agent you can inform them about this.
