What is the difference between a hard sleeper and a soft sleeper?

6 berths are set in a semi-open hard sleeper cabin, while only 4 are in an enclosed soft one, whose berth is wider. It's also quieter in the soft sleeper carriage. Accordingly, a soft sleeper costs more.
