About:China Visa

Australians do not a visa for China if you apply in Paris

I am an Australian.
When I went to apply for my Chinese entry permit in Paris I was told that " we don't do them for Australian citizens. Only French citizens".
The woman on the counter did not even look at my face whilst I spoke.
They were the most unfriendly people I have ever encountered .
I have been to China 3 times .
If you are Australian PLEASE do your application in Australia.
In Australia at the Chinese Embassy I was told to apply for it is Paris .... But this was false.
I had a 72 hour free entry to PRC on my way to Europe. And was told to get the entry permit in Paris and this way there would be no confusion with either entry.
The change to my flight date cost €330

Terry, in principle, if you have valid entry permit for France, you can possibly apply for Chinese entry permit from there, but in real practice, the consular officers may not accept your application based on the relevant situation.

Perry thanks for your message.
The fact is that they can do as they please.
Even if you cross the t and dot the i .... They can still say unsuccessful .
There is no guarantee from this Embassy Section for doing 100% the right thing.
The Paris Chinese embassy people said to me " we do not do entry permits for Australians here".
To then go ahead and apply for one would be stupid.
Just to now alter my flight ticket is $615 Dollars ( today's price quote ).
If I applied for the entry permit and then got another no from them I would be loosing good money for nothing.

It is better you do from your nationality country. If you don't have residence permit in other countries, they might not process your visa.
