need visa but can't hand over passport

Question

Hi, I'm having to apply for an entry permit for PRC arriving there on the 31st July 2016. However, I am in America from the 10th July until the 18th and so will require my passport. How do I go about applying for my entry permit without handing over my passport? Thanks

Erin, you can apply for it after you return to UK from USA. You can get it in time. Because usually, it takes 4 working days to process your application after you submit it. And if you choose the express service, 3 working days are needed. So there is no need to worry!
