About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am traveling on Indian passport to South Korea. I have a 23 1/2 HR layover in Shanghai .

Do I need a transit visa for city tour?

No transit G type is needed because you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office and then you can leave the airport to go sightseeing in the city.
