I am from India ,working in China form last 10 months ,suddenly i need to quit the job and go back to India.(return tickets already booked)My questions are1.Do I need to cancel my work permit and residence permit before I leave PRC? (I think my company HR is not having a clear idea about this issues)2.If the answer is YES then how can I cancel the work permit and R visa?what is the process?how long the process will take?3.Do my wife need to cancel her residence permit ? (she is in dependent type)

1. You need to cancel your work permit and residence permit. 2. Take the release letter and the alien employment permit to the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to cancel the work permit. This is usually done by your employer. Then go to the exit and entry administration to cancel your residence permit. Usually, it will be dealt with within 5 working days. 3. She’d better cancel her residence permit, too. Or she can leave it to expire naturally.
