Shenzhen VOA for Indians

I am an Indian. About 4 years ago, I tried to get Shenzhen VOA at Lo Wu port, as many websites said that US and French citizens can not get it (similar to what you say here). However, I was turned back at Lo Wu VOA facility by saying that Indians are also not allowed. What is the rule now for Indian citizens?

Ramesh, it’s impossible for you to get VOA just like before. The article above just lists out some countries which are not eligible for the VOA policy. In real practice, the situation may be different. If your application is refused by the consular officers, it means that you cannot get VOA there, so you need to apply for a normal visa beforehand to go there.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you are right, the VOA country list is not complete. Also, the rules regarding a country can change without notice. It is better to check with authorities beforehand even if one thinks he/she is eligible for VOA.
