I am staying in BJ for a month, so how much yuan should I put on the pass and is there a pass for admission to attractions? how are the pass different from the london oyster pass and how are they the same and can you put the yuan to USD?

I am sorry that the card is not applicable on bullet trains. You may add around CNY 200 on the pass. There is no such a card to cover the admission fees to attractions. You can pay the admission fees on the spot upon arrival.Both cards can be used to ride on buses, metro lines, etc. Also, you can enjoy some discount when using the cards. The oyster card charges different amount at different time of the day, while BJ Transportation Smart Card charges the same within one day. You can top it up by CNY, not USD. :)
