12 hours stay in hongkong airport

Question

hi! im a norwegian citizen.Ive booked my flight to australia (from norway) and i saw on my ticket that i need to wait in hk airport for 12 hours. Just wondering if i can leave the airport and comeback again before my flight, if yes do i need to apply for a transit visa?

Bak, you don’t need a transit entry permit to wait at HK airport because Norway passport holders can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of not more than 90 days. After arrival, you can leave the airport and then come back again before the flight takes off.
