About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Applying for another X type

I am from Ireland and am moving to Beijing in august to study in BLCU. I applied for my visa in Dublin but next year I really don't fancy flying the whole way back to ireland. I maybe going to Thailand or the United States next summer will I be able to apply in those countries?

Alexander, actually, if you hold X1 type to enter PRC, you will get a residence permit after you enter. For your study in next year, you just need to renew your residence permit for another year. You don’t need to apply for a new student X type.

Of course, if you have valid entry permit for Thailand or US, you can apply for Chinese entry permit from there.
