About:Chinese Consulate in Montreal

Travel into China

I am born in Hong-Kong in 1981 but landed in Canada in 1982 and reside here ever since. I obtained Canadian citizenship in 1985 as a child. I understand there are new rules in effect for Canadians born in Hong-Kong, but I have never applied for Chinese citizenship and do not consider myself a Chinese national. Do I need to apply for Chinese citizenship and travel as a Chinese national, or can I use the same visa as regular Canadian citizens?

You can apply for a visa to travel to PRC as regular Canadian citizens.
