About:China Postal Service

If I want to ship out 3 boxes (approx 20kg per box) from China to Malaysia:

1. Do I need to specify whether to use surface or SAL? How do I say it in Chinese?
2. Where will our packages arrive? At our own country's postal office where we hv to collect ourselves or do they send it to our destination address?
3. Will we get any notification upon arrival of our packages?
4. How long does it normally take for packages to arrive from China to Malaysia?
5. If we are relocating back from China to Malaysia, will our packages that contain lots of personal clothes, shoes and books, be taxed at customs?
6. How do we fill up the packing list for clothes and value if they are old, personal clothes?
7. Is delivery through China Post reliable?

Hope someone can help answer my questions. Thank you very much in advance!

1. You can only go through surface mail and the Chinese pronunciation reads as 'Shui Lu Lu Bao Guo'. SAL is not available.
2. Generally, your package will be sent to the local post office and be delivered to the destination address.
3. Once you send out the parcel, you will get a tracking number. You can input the number on this page to check the update.
4. In general, it should take around one month to reach Malaysia.
5. For personal stuff, it won't be taxed. Don't worry.
6. The items and value are optional. You can choose not to fill it. If you are not sure, you may ask the staff.
7. You don't need to worry too much. Your parcel will reach the destination.
