About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA to Shanghai to Hong Kong (Switching airlines in Shanghai)

If I fly American airlines roundtrip to Shanghai and China Eastern roundtrip from Shanghai to Hong Kong (land Friday at 4pm from the USA and leave Friday at 6:30pm for Hong Kong) and similar on the return do I need to use the 72 hour visa?

Thanks

Hi John,

You don't need a visa, only if both flights are booked at the same time. So only if you have one ticket for both flights.
