About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Possible Problems Once Submitted

Hi there!

I (US citizen) just applied for a tourist L type today. While I plan to stay in Beijing and Shanghai for a month altogether, there is a possibility that I might go to Hong Kong somewhere in between. So, just in case, I checked off the "double entry" option instead of the "single entry" option. I am meant to get my passport and visa back on June 29--I need my passport by July 2nd though. I am worried that by selecting "double entry" instead of "single entry" there is a greater chance that my application will be rejected (because my probable itinerary does not show that I would ever leave the mainland-because I am not yet sure). Should I be worried, or does it not matter which "entry" box I check off? [Sorry for the long question]

Daniel, don’t worry! As long as you provide all the required documents and the travel itinerary, it’s not difficult for you to get double entry. You can just apply for it directly.
