About:China Transit Visa

Pakistani Passport holder had 21 hours transit in Guangzhou way back from Vietnam to Sydney

I hold Pakistani Passport, on my way back from Vietnam to Sydney (i live in Australia) i have 21 hours transit in Guangzhou, do i need to apply or visa, whats the processing time etc?

Nadeem, you don't need to apply for it because you can make use of the 24-hour direct transit policy.

does it mean i can leave the airport and spent time in city? or i have to stay at airport only?

You need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office after you get off from the plane, but it is free of charge. After that, you can leave the airport and spend time in city.

The temporary stay permit is only valid for 24 hours.
