About:Entry Regulations of China

we are travelling to shanghai and kunming. we keep kosher and have strict dietary laws.

Can I travel frozen dinnners that include beef, chicken and frozen vegetables? Do I declare this and will they let me take this into the counrty?

As I know, any meat product or fresh vegetable is not allowed to enter CN. But you can take dried vegetables. Remember to declare them at the customs, for they should go through a quarantine check.
Actually, you don't need to worry about the diet issues. There are various restaurants in the two cities. You can surely find one to meet your dietary demand.
