I've heard that the issuance of china tourist visa to filipinos are very strict...I'll be travelling with my 8 year old daughter , we are going to apply just for a 1 day visa, with all the rquierements ...what are our chances?

You can still get a one day China visa if all requirements are provided, now China embassy in Manila generally issue single entry visa with 7 days or 14 days stay duration to Filipinos.
