About:Beijing Travel

how far is inner mongolia grand hotel from the forbidden city? can we walk to get there?

we'll in Beijing on January 7th, 2017, is it possible if we walk to forbidden city from my hotel
how to get there by public transport ( Bus or MRT ) ?
what is the closest place to go from Forbidden City to summer place or temple of heaven ? how km is it ?

The distance is about 2 miles (3km). You can walk there within 30 minutes. Or, walk north for about 300 yards to Dongdan Station, and take metro line 1 to Tian'anmen East Station, Exit A. Walk north to the palace. Or, you can taxi there for about CNY 15.

The palace is about 3.7 miles (6km) from Temple of Heaven, and 12 miles (19km) from Summer Palace. So, the former is much nearer. :)
