we are flying from netherlands -shanghai china eastern (10 hours stop over) - & then waiting to Manilla flight. I am a philippines passport holder.

If you country you fly in is different from the country you fly out, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there and no visa is needed. You can just apply for a free temporary stay permit to leave the airport and see the city.
