About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying into Xian but connecting through Shanghai

Hi! we are flying into Xian from Manilla. But there isn't a direct flight into Xian, connecting in Shanghai. We are only in Xian for 3 days before flying to Los Angeles. Would that count towards the 72 hour free transit?

Linda, it's a pity that the layover in Shanghai makes you ineligible for the 72-hour free transit.

You can fly Manila - Hong Kong first.
At Hong Kong you have nonstop flights to Xi´an.
