Hello. I will be traveling from Hong Kong to Guangzhou on a train. We will be in Guangzhou for 3 days and then flying to Shanghai and staying there for 3 days. Can I get a 72 hours free transit for Guangzhou and 144 hours visa for Shanghai? We will be flying back to United States from Shanghai.

Helen, you cannot get the free transit in Guangzhou and Shanghai because you just transfer from one Chinese city to another. You need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type beforehand.
