About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

From US to HK to Mainland China and back to US three 1/2 weeks later?

Is this possible? If so, how?

Mai I know which city you will go? Maybe you can enjoy the free transit.
Otherwise, you need to apply for a tourist L type in advance. You should first provide the relevant materials including your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-sized color photo, hotel reservation, and transportation arrangement. After, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.
