Travel from Beijing and best things to do in 2-3 days in Yangshuo

I am with a group of 4 traveling from Beijing to there. We would like to visit for 2-3 days. Can you recommend the best route to travel (fastest/cost?) and what you would recommend seeing in our short time? Thanks so much!
