About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need visa to Pudong and Guangzhou airport?

I will be travelling from Toronto - Vancouver then to Guangzhou airport. Then connecting to Bangkok do I need an entry permit to enter Guangzhou? I have 3 hours layover in Guangzhou.
Also on the returning flight I will be going through Pudong airport.

Lee, you can respectively enjoy the 72h free transit in Guangzhou on your way to Bangkok and 144h free transit in Shanghai on your way back.
