Chinese visit visa - pakitansi passport holders but resided in NZ

Hi - We hold pakistani passports but are permanent NZ residents. We want to apply Chinese visit (L) type from NZ, are you able to confirm if there will be no fee as we are pakistani passport holders? Also, its not mandatory to provide invitation letter if we are going on our own and have a proof of airline tickets and hotel reservation?

Tina, if you apply for it in New Zealand, it is also free of charge.
I’m afraid you need to provide an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit, and the proof of transportation and accommodation arrangement.
