About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting Shanghai on a cruise stop

On a 1 day cruise stop in Shanghai between Nagasaki, and Okinawa, Japan will the 144 hr. visa apply?
Do we need an arrival departure card? Where do we get it?

Art, you mean you will go back to Japan after 1-day stop in Shanghai, right? If yes, you are not eligible for the free transit in Shanghai. A tourist L type is required for your journey and you should apply for it in advance.
Usually, when you board the ship, you will get the arrival/departure card.
