About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

x2 to x1

i have an x2 type and its expiring soon in august. my program in PRC ends in june. my major starts in october. how can i get an extension to my visa so that i dont have to go back home too get a new x1 type

Zalp, you can change your X2 type to X1 type 7 days earlier before X2 type expires. After you get the X1 type, you can apply for the residence permit and live in PRC to wait for your major starting in October.
