About:China Visa on Arrival

Can Indonesian buy VOA to mainland from Hongkong?

I plan to have leissure trip at hongkong and wanted to visit my friend in Guangzhou for a week. Can i get VOA to enter mainland from Hongkong?

Lydia, you can buy the VOA at Hong Kong-Shenzhen Border, but you can't use this VOA to go to Guangzhou. If you need to visit Guangzhou, you should apply for a tourist visa in advance.

Hi Emily. I believe that Indonesian doesnt need visa to enter hongkong. I was just wondering if i can get VOA to enter mainland from hongkong

Lydia, it’s difficult for you to get VOA in Shenzhen and even though you can get it in Shenzhen, it can only be used to travel around Shenzhen. Thus, you are advised to apply for a normal visa in advance.
