About:China Visa Exemption

I'm Indonesian. flight from jakarta to vancouver & will lay-over in Guangzou for 23hrs.

Can I leave the airport without visa? how I can get the Temporary Entry Permit?

Yes, you can. When you pass through the immigration counter, show your passport and onward ticket to the immigration officer and tell the person you want to get out of the airport for a while, then the person will stamp on your passport, and the stamp is the so-called temporary stay permit.
