I'm backpacker

It possible I apply china visa without the return flight ticket and hotel reservation.
And I go to visit my friend at china .

Yes, it's possible that you can apply without the return flight ticket and hotel reservations. You can ask your friend to write you an invitation letter and send you a copy of her/his ID card. If the person is a foreigner, you can ask him or her to send you a copy of passport and residence permit.
