About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Solo-Backpacking Trip - Visa Questions

Hi,

I've been struggling a lot with the visa process and am confused which to get/ how to fill it out. I just heard about this 10-day visa which might be what I need.

I will be finishing a solo-backpacking trip from Central Asia, flying directly from Kazakhstan to Beijing. I will stay in Beijing 5 days, then I will fly home to Seattle (stopping in Seoul for a 12-hour layover). Does this count for the 10-day visa? Thank you!

Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit in all of its segments. I advise you to use correct terminology in order to avoid any possible misunderstandings. It is not 10-day visa, but 240 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind at all. Have a nice visit to China.
