About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I need to fly from the US to Xiamin and stay there less than 72 hours. Do I need a visa?

I need to fly from US to Xiamin. I will be there for less than 72 hours. From there I can stop in Shanghai, Hong Kong or singapore or anywhere else or return to the states. Do I need a transit G type? Can I avoid having to get one?

Hi, Sherry, do you refer to Xiamen? You can avoid applying for a transit G type permit by using the 72h free transit. The following routes are for your choice:
US-Xiamen-Hong Kong/Singapore/or any other country except the US
