About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Norwegian citizens

Hi, we have a return flight from Denpasar via Guangzhou to Amsterdam, with almost an entire day to wait at the airport. We would of course love to get into the city and look around while first there.

We are both Norwegian citizens, are there any transit-visas we could apply for?

(couldn`t find Norway on your list of 24 schengen countries)

Jon, Norway is not one of those Schengen countries that can use the 72-hour free transit policy, but your can still use the 24-hour direct transit policy because you transit in Guangzhou for less than 24 hours. You can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport to go outside to tour the city.
