L-Visa to M-type

Dear,

I'm currently travelling on a 1 year L-type in China. Right now I received a job offer for a Marketing Position in Shanghai from a Company situated in Hong Kong. They asked me if i can apply for a Business type, they would grant me an invitation letter as well.

Can I change my Visa inside China or I need to go to HK? and is this expensive, I would start with a Business M type of 3 months.

Hi Milan, it's possible to change your L type to an M type inside mainland, but the M type you get is only for single entry. It's not expensive, just CNY 168. You can try to change it at the Exit and Entry Administration Division of local Public Security Bureau. The required documents may include your passport, a application form, a recent photo, a registration form of your temporary residence, and an invitation letter from the Shanghai office of the company.

Thank you.

Single entree is not problem. But what about the duration of the visa? Because my probation period is 3months, I can apply for a 3month duration? I have the possibility to work full time after the months periode than they will give me a work permit
