About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Green Card Holder Eligible?

My wife is now a US Permanent Resident with official US Green Card. However, she is Filipino and holds a Philippines passport. We know that this 72-Hour Visa Free Transit is not available to a Philippines citizen but with US Green Card, are they eligible? What if she is traveling with me, a US citizen? What about the new 144-Hour Free Transit in Shanghai? We actually met in Shanghai when we were both there under valid Chinese visas and would like to return for a visit.

Also, if wife is eligible, would her daughter, who is also Filipino but with valid US Green Card also be eligible? 非常感谢 - Fei chang gan xie! - Thank you very much - Maraming salamat po.

Sorry but a US green card doesn´t mean anything for the twov.

Just her passport is important.

If you wanna visit Shanghai, she has to apply for a visa unfortunately.
